The Hardware section in Station Settings is where merchants configure every physical device connected to the POS: receipt printers for in-store and online orders, the PAX PIN pad payment terminal, and the label printer. Each device type has its own dedicated tab, and each tab now has its own article, so setup steps for one device don't get lost inside the others. Settings on every tab are per station.

Important things to know across all tabs
π Instore and Online printers are configured separately. A printer assigned for in-store receipts does not automatically apply to online order receipts. Configure both tabs if you want printing for all order types.
π A printer can only be assigned to one station at a time. Assigning it to a new station removes it from its current station. Always verify with Print Test before saving to confirm the correct printer is responding.
π USB PIN pad connection is the simplest setup, just plug in the cable and the PAX device connects automatically with no additional configuration. Ethernet takes more configuration but lets the PAX sit apart from the tablet.
β οΈ Settle Batch Immediately closes the current card batch and triggers settlement with your payment processor. Use with care, this is typically an end-of-day action.
π When label paper size is changed, the toast "Paper type changed, reset printer" appears. Reset the label printer to apply the new paper configuration before printing.
