The Cash Drawer sub-group covers everything that moves cash in or out of the register outside of regular product sales — opening the drawer for a no-sale, paying in for change, dropping cash to the safe, paying out vendors, and paying out lottery and scratcher winnings.

Key concept: negative-line sales
Vendor Payouts, Scratcher Payouts, and Lottery Payouts all use the same mechanism — a negative line item on the sale. This is what lets a single workflow handle both pure cash-out (negative line is the only line) and apply-to-purchase (negative line reduces a regular sale's total).
The negative-line mechanism keeps reporting consistent: every cash outflow is recorded as an order in Order History, so cash reconciliation, Expected Cash, and the Sales Summary all tie out at the end of a shift.

These are high-trust actions — cash leaves the drawer based on the cashier's judgment. Limit permissions to managers and trusted senior staff, and train them on the difference between Vendor Payout, Drop Cash, and Lottery/Scratcher Payout.
